Wing eBikes Can Travel Up to 60 Miles (96.6 km)
Wing electric bikes can travel from 35 miles (56.3 km) up to 60 miles (96.6 km). This range is more than sufficient for daily commutes.
Please note that the range of an electric bike can be significantly affected by several factors, such as the rider’s weight, weather conditions, type of terrain, riding style, and pedal-assist level.
However, if you think the 60-mile (96.6-km) range is not enough for your needs, you can choose to charge your eBike battery on the go. To learn more about this, read our article “Charging eBike on the Go (Car Battery, Inverter, Power Bank, Solar).“
The Batteries of Wing eBikes are Removable
Having a removable battery is an advantage because it allows you to do the following:
- Properly check your battery
- Easily store it when not in use
- Swap your battery with a new one.
Check out this article to learn how to properly maintain your eBike battery.
These eBikes Have Power Outputs Sufficient for a Daily Commute
The Freedom 2, the Freedom X, and the Freedom ST electric bikes use Bafang motors with 550W rated power output and can deliver up to 45 Nm torque. On the other hand, the Freedom Fatty 2 uses a Bafang motor with 750W rated output, providing up to 80 Nm torque.
These rated outputs and torque are more than enough to propel your eBike when carrying a heavy load or when climbing up high slopes. These eBikes might not be the most powerful. Still, they will likely meet your daily needs. You can even use these electric bikes to exercise and attain maximum fitness. Wing eBikes are Lightweight
Imagine having a heavy eBike. When the battery is fully drained or the motor just stops working, riding and carrying your eBike would be pretty challenging. Wing eBikes, on the other hand, are lightweight. They only weigh 39 lbs. (17.7 kgs), so carrying or riding a Wing e-bike without motor assistance won’t be so difficult.
You Can Select Between 5 Pedal-Assist Levels
Regardless of the brand, electric bikes are provided with pedal assistance from the motor, which makes pedaling much easier. These Wing electric bikes have up to 5 levels of pedal assist that you can choose from. The higher the pedal-assist level, the more assistance your eBike motor provides. Selecting the right pedal-assist level depends entirely on your preference and needs.
For instance, the lowest pedal-assist level (Level 1) is the best if you use your e-bike for training. On the other hand, if you would like to have the maximum assistance you can get, choosing the fifth level would be best.
Just remember, using the lowest or the highest level has its own set of pros and cons. For example, using the lowest level will allow you to ride for a much longer range. In contrast, the highest level would dramatically shorten your range.
Furthermore, you can choose not to use the pedal-assist levels and go fully electric by installing a power-on-demand throttle. You can now include a throttle boost in your order for free.
You Can Extend your eBikes Warranty Up to Three Years
The warranty ensures that the eBike will be free of manufacturer defects for a set period of time. If you identify a manufacturer defect, you will have the option of having Wing repair your electric ride.
Wing eBikes come with a 1-year limited warranty. However, you can choose to extend your eBike’s warranty period for up to three years. But, of course, this comes with an extra charge. You will be charged $149 for two years and $259 for three years of additional warranty coverage.
Wing has a 5-Day Return Policy on Their eBikes
Since not all customers can book a test ride on their eBikes, Wing offers a 5-day, no questions asked return policy for all eBikes purchased on their websites. It is advisable to contact Wing’s support before any eBike return for specific directions. You can read their return and warranty policy here.
