As a whole, there is no significant difference in the nominal motor power of the Trek Verve and the Specialized Como electric bike models. They all have 250 watts of nominal power but differ in their motors’ torque.

The torque of Trek Verve e-bike models is between 40-50 Nm, whereas the torque of Specialized Como e-bike models is between 50-90 Nm.

These electric bikes work well on steep inclines. However, climbing hills would be easier for any Specialized Como e-bike model due to the higher torque they produce.

Trek and Specialized have no specific range outlined on their e-bike specifications. However, they have a range calculator where you can compute your possible range depending on the total payload weight, the e-bike mode used, the speed, and the type of terrain ridden.

We calculated the range of Trek Verve e-bikes using the Trek range calculator with the following information:

Running Cost: Trek Verve vs. Specialized Como

As a general rule, there is no significant difference in the running cost of Trek Verve and Specialized Como e-bike models. These electric bikes may have a running cost of $0.20-$0.51. The running cost may increase or decrease depending on how frequently you charge your e-bike battery.

In computing the running cost of any electric bike, it is essential to know the following details:

On average, there is no significant difference in the maintenance cost of Trek Verve and Specialized Como electric bike models. Both of them may have an annual maintenance cost of $150, excluding the price of parts that need replacing.
